Let me tell you some of my experience in sports handicapping.
I have been associated with Sports Handicapping for the past 28 years
through various enterprises. I worked for the National Publication called
‘Sports Eye’ for approximately 3 years. I wrote a NFL\NCAA Football column
that appeared in Sports Eye every weekend. This column was called ‘The
Insider’. The column included a complete write-up of each game. My NFL\NCAA
Selections would be based on the point spread, Injury Reports, as well as
many other important statistics.
In addition to my weekend column, I wrote a Basketball Column called ‘From
The Courtside’ and a Baseball column ‘At The Diamond”. These columns
appeared in Sports Eye periodically Thursdays. This publication is located
in Port Washington, New York and is published daily. In as much I was an
independent sports writer, not on staff, when new ownership took over, all
writers other than staff were released because of new management changes.
I started my own service using a local printer and a New York City
Distributor. The paper was called ‘The Sports Analyst’ and sold for $10 per
copy and distributed to retail stores and newsstands throughout the 5
borough’s of New York City. It sold very well but became too difficult as
time went by as I had to depend on too many people because of my Physical
